Donations must be in clean, working condition, with all parts – no rust, broken parts, pet scratches, etc. All items are subject to management approval. If you are unsure about your donation, contact the ReStore location nearest you.

Washers, Dryers, Refrigerators, Freezers, Stoves/Ranges, Cooktops, Microwave Ovens.
Must be in working condition and under 10 years old.
*Air Conditioners accepted at Henrietta and Webster locations ONLY.
Not Accepted: Dishwashers, Keurig and similar single-serve coffee makers.
Framed Artwork, Ceramic, Sculptures, Jewelry, Antique Tools, Furniture, Collectables and Knickknacks.
Not Accepted: Mirrors and glass without frames. Picture frames.
Hardware and Fasteners - Nails, Screws, Bolts, etc. in new unopened packaging, Electrical Fixtures and Lighting, Plumbing, Interior and Exterior Doors in Frames*, Plywood and Drywall (must be at least 4’X4’ sheets), New Insulation (full rolls or sheets only), New Chain Link and Stockade Fencing and Posts, Hinges, Doorknobs and Locksets, Hand Tools, and Power Tools.
*Henrietta and Webster locations will accept doors without frames.
Not Accepted: Used and assorted nuts, bolts, nails, screws, etc. Power tools without proper safety guards, or with damaged or modified cords, or missing parts/batteries/chargers/etc. Used or rusty cans of paint. Oil based paint of any kind. Paint thinner or solvents. Fluorescent bulbs and used fluorescent fixtures. Electrical items that have been altered. Car parts and tires.
Kitchen cabinet sets must include a sink base. Cabinets must include all doors, drawers, and hardware. Bathroom vanities accepted with or without countertop. Find out more about our Kitchen Deconstruction service here.
Not Accepted: Drop-in bathroom vanity sinks.
Tile, Linoleum, Wood, Laminate, Vinyl.
Full, unopened packaging only. Minimum quantity of at least 24 square feet.
Area Rugs (bound) in new or gently used condition.
Not Accepted: Used flooring, wall to wall carpet and padding.
Sectionals, Sofas, Love Seats, Recliners, Chairs, and other upholstered furniture – must be clean with no rips, tears, stains, or pet hair.
Coffee and End Tables, Bookcases, Dressers, Nightstands, Kitchen and Dining Room Tables and Chairs, Buffets, Metal Bed Frames, Patio Tables and Chairs.
Not Accepted: Mattresses and box springs, entertainment centers, headboards/footboards, pressboard/particleboard furniture, piano and organs.
Home Goods
Dishes, Glassware (sets of 4 or more), Pots and Pans, Utensils, Tableware, Home Décor.
*Clothing, Audio Equipment, DVDs, CDs, and Books accepted at our Canandaigua location ONLY.
Not Accepted: Plastic cups, dishes, and containers. Mugs and glassware with custom logos or slogans. Broken or rusty items or any kind. Corded blinds.
Floor, Wall, Table, Ceiling and Vanity Lights.
Not Accepted: New or used fluorescent light bulbs and used fluorescent fixtures.
Plumbing
New full lengths of PVC, PEX, and Copper tubing and connectors.
Not Accepted: Used plumbing parts. Drop-in bathroom vanity sinks. Wall mount sinks.
Windows & Mirrors
Vinyl Windows and Vinyl Replacements, New Glass Block, Shutters, and Framed Mirrors.
Not Accepted: Wood or single pane windows, loose storm windows or screens, unframed glass and mirrors.
Note: this list is not exhaustive and other items may be refused at the discretion of store management.
Drop off donations are accepted Tuesday – Saturday, 9am - 4pm at all locations. Check your local ReStore for accepted items.
